HOW TO CARE FOR REMY HAIR LACE WIG
Virgin Human Wig is the human hair like ours, it also can be befouled and dirtied after a
long time wearing.
If you have not take a proper maintenance of it, the
hair with high quality you wear will look terrible.
So it is very
important maintaining and cleaning your Remy hair. We suggest washing it at least once or twice a week with cold water.
When encountering tangling, detangle
hair gently, avoiding abrasive brushing. Correct product usage will
prolong the hairs life with color protection products and regular deep
conditioning essential.
Most importantly, low chemical, color protection
shampoos should be used to keep color leakage and dryness to a minimum.
The detergent chemicals held by many shampoos will further damage hair
that is already very porous.
The application of a natural oil
treatment is recommended with a suitable anti-oxidant and UV protector
to protect the hair from long-term damage. This will help prevent
dryness and maintain a healthy appearance
- First thing to keeping your Indian Remy Hair silky and
beautiful is to make sure that you keep it washed. Fill a sink or basin half full and apply 1/2 cap of shampoo to the water. then dip the Remy Hair in/out of the water . It is best
to wash this hair in cold water, heat can ruin the cuticle.
- Cold water
also helps the Indian Hair retain its shape.
- Rinse the shampoo out with cold water. Next, you want to
condition the hair. Use enough conditioner to get all
the strands of hair covered. This conditioner should be left in no
longer than 10 minutes.
Rinse the conditioner out. Now that you have completed the
washing and conditioning phase, it is now time to strengthen the hair. Apply a conditioner with protein in it.
Protein will help the Virgin Indian Remy Hair not to become limp or dry
and break off.
Deep condition this hair once per week.
- When the hair is dry, there are many products you can use.
A light hair gel can be used to retain curly Indian hair, but should not be kept in
the hair for a long period of time. It should be used sparely.
It is important to spray some
type of oil in the hair after it is dry to prevent breakage..
- Comb your hair with a wide tooth comb every single morning from the tips up to the
roots. This will prevent your Virgin Indian Remy Hair from tangling and
matting together.
- NEVER Comb or Brush Remy hair when it is wet.
How can I prevent my lace wig from shedding?
This information is to help you learn how you can prevent and avoid
your lace wig from shedding.
1. Most important - Keep Your wig clean.
2. We advise to STAY AWAY from putting products directly in the
hair that contain high levels of alcohol ie. Hair Sprays, Spritz, etc..
As these products can damage the hair and cause shedding or breakage.
3. You MUST clean all the glue residue off your wig when you
remove it. Letting glue or other adhesives build up on your lace will
cause shedding.
4 .Do not scratch your scalp through your unit as this will
cause shedding. Instead, pat your head with your head or remove your
unit and treat your scalp with an anti-itch shampoo and conditioner and
then moisturize your scalp with an oil or hair grease to prevent
itching.
5. Comb your unit from the tip up, holding the hair above as you
comb so that it won't pull on your knots. Use a ventilated wig brush to
comb your wig, not a bristle brush.
6. Do not comb your wig when its wet. Prior to washing your unit
make sure you comb it out thoroughly and that its nice and smooth
before you start to wash it.
Due to the water absorbency, the hair shaft expands and the
root knot loosens causing the hair to shed dramatically.
7. It is BEST/RECOMMENDED to natural dry your Remy hair.
Do not Blow Dry or Sit Under a Dryer with heat, you should
let your unit air dry. If you must blow dry, make sure it is on the
cool setting. Blow Dryer heat will damage/split the knots and cause
shedding.
DO NOT try to speed up the drying
process by blow drying,
placing under the sunlight, in a clothes dryer, microwave, or any
direct heat. This will cause the wig cap to loose integrity and shed
small to large amounts of hair
8. At night, you should wrap your hair in satin a hair wrap or sleep on a satin pillow case.
9. NEVER go to sleep with your Remy hair wet.
10. Swimming in this hair is completely fine. It is better to braid your Virgin Indian Remy Hair before swimming. After swimming, repeat the washing and conditioning process mentioned above.
