WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER FOR A CUSTOMIZED WIG
How to take Measurements for a Customized WigBefore you start: Pin hair as flat and as tight as
possible before taking the measurements. This will eliminate bulges that
distort head contours.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you measure ACCURATELY.
If you
do not measure properly, your wig may not fit. Measure at least 2-3
times to be sure.
Use a soft measure tape to measure. We take
measurements in whole and half inches. So please round your
measurements up not down. Example: 12 3/4 should be rounded up to 13
and 12 1/4 should be rounded up to 12 1/2. Note: If you are bald or do
not have a hair line - you do not need to add the inch - simply put the
tape measure where you would like your hairline to begin with the wig.
The averages below are just examples. Not everyone will meet
these measurements - some may be under or over and that is perfectly
fine.
1. CircumferenceMeasure
all around the head. Position tape measure so its edge follows the hair
line around the head and nape of the neck. (an average measurement is 22
inches).
2. Forehead to NapeMeasure from hairline at center
of forehead straight back over crown to center of hairline at nape of
neck. (an average measurement is 13 1/2 inches).
3. Ear to Ear Across Front HairlineAt front of
ear, measure from hairline at base of side burn, up across the hair line
along forehead to same point in front of other ear. (an average measurement
is 11 1/2 inches).
4. Ear to Ear Over TopMeasure from hairline
directly above the ear across top of head to the hairline directly above
the other ear. (an average measurement is 11 inches).
5. Temple to Temple Around BackFrom temple to
temple across the back of head. (an average measurement is 14 inches).
6. Nape of NeckMeasure the width of hairline across
the nape of the neck. (an average measurement is 6 inches).

more fragile, than French lace, and blends better with the skin for
a less visible appearance. Swiss lace is only recommended for those
who have some experience with wig application and removal.

Our wigs that are made with Remy hair. Remy (or Remi) hair is
the complete hair strand and
has not been weakened by stripping. Remy hair is created by careful
processing which leaves
the cuticle in place. The result is stronger, superior hair. Still,
this
hair has undergone
some processing (such as cleaning, curly perming or dyeing), so it
should also be treated
gently. Remy hair is often referred to as "cuticle hair" because the
cuticle is left intact. Hair
that is stripped of the cuticle is often chemically treated to give
the
hair an artificial softness
and shine, which wears down over time, causing tangling and a poor
appearance. Remy hair
does not have this problem and is the highest quality hair you can
purchase.
Each wig is handmade, with experienced wig makers securing one or
more hair strands at a
time, to the lace base. Our knotting technique creates a
multi-directional hairstyling, with a
natural hair flow. Knots are lightened for a realistic looking
"scalp".
Each wig takes over thirty
hours of labor to complete.
All wigs we offer are new, never worn and top quality. The
additional lace in the front of the
wig is not meant to be left on for wear. Lace front units are designed
to
have the additional
material trimmed prior to wear, what is left is a natural hairline
which appears to grown from
your scalp.
